Even now and again Apple updated it’s list of obsolete Macs and today it’s the turn of the MacBook Pro 15″ & 17″ 2010 machines.

Even though Apple in their infant wisdom likes too do this, it does’t mean you have to toss your MacBook into the trash! Nope, in fact, these MacBook units are still ones of the best made.

Shame, they’re easy to upgrade and will work for a long time to come as long as they are kept up to date and upgraded.

Is Apple building a search engine?

Apple has published a document (see bellow) pointing to a new web crawler.

The crawler seems to be using the 17.0.0.0 IP block that is owned solely by Apple and have been doing the rounds since late last year.

Not sure why they would want to compete with Google or Bing search, but I have a feeling it could be to bolster their Siri, Spotlight products, maybe even Safari search?

This is an interesting turn of events for Apple, seems like they are having a push in the EU with their retail stores.
